湘潭船用電力電纜廠創建于九十年代初期，是集貿易、制造業為一體股份制企業。工廠歷經幾十年的艱苦奮斗、開拓創新，現已發展成為國內制造船用電纜和電線的專業廠家，湖南省船纜生產基地。
湘潭船用電力電纜廠位于湖南省中部“長株潭”金三角地帶，瀕臨湘江、107、320國道直通工廠、鐵路、公路、水上運輸便利；廠區占地面積10000㎡米，現擁有各類專業生產和檢測用設備100多臺（套），年設計生產能力達15000公里，現有員工210多名，各類專業技術人員30多名。
